Sometimes the most ordinary things could be made extraordinary, simply by doing them with the right people.

Arrow of Light
After almost 3 years of Cub Scouts, great leaders and hard work on Ryan's part, he earned his Arrow of Light, the highest honor you can receive in the cub scouting program.
It was a nice evening and our Cub Master, Chris Hyland, did a wonderful ceremony in honor of Ryan's achievements. The Scout Master Jarin Stevens was also there to receive Ryan as he crossed the bridge of Cub Scouting to Boy Scouts. Ryan did great reciting the oath and them of the scouting program in front of so many people.
Grandpa and Grandma, as well as Missy's family came to celebrate the achievement.
Now we are on that super fun path leading to being an Eagle Scout. Hurrah!!

Earning a Bear
Well Ryan reached another milestone in scouting tonight. He officially earned his Bear award. He sure has loved the scouting program and he has had some wonderful leaders that keep him on track and provide fun and educational activities for him. He received other awards as well which makes him a highly decorated cub scout already.
To top it off, it was the Blue and Gold Banquet. We enjoyed yummy food and a nice evening with friends and ward members.

Wolf Badge
Today Ryan progressed in ranks in the cub scout program. He earned his wolf badge. He was pretty excited that he got it as was I since this first year of scouts has been a learning experience for all. I can't say that I have a complete understanding of it all yet but I do know that he loves attending den meetings each week and he is being taught many wonderful qualities and skills. So I now know that it is a valuable program.
