The BIG 40

Yes I am 40.  Wow.  I never imagined 40.  I am not sure what I thought it would feel like but it isn't so bad.  Yes, my body tires more easily, and I get aches and pains for no apparent reason.  And yet, life is wonderful.  It is so nice to be established, have your own home, enjoy the company of the sweet little family of your own making, and having a peace from understanding who you are and what is truly important.  I will embrace this time, in spite of the number!

At our family dinner, I was presented with a variety of things that I love.  There were 40 of everything.  It was a sweet surprise and fun for me.

Roger took the day off for my birthday and we played, shopped and enjoyed a wonderful lunch.  It was a great day full of phone calls from family and friends, visits from loved ones, and overall spoiling.

Happy Easter

The annual decorating of Easter Eggs.  One dozen eggs for each child plus 6 more for the adults = cheap and fun entertainment.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

 For the 3rd year in a row, Amber and Dane sponsored a Felix Family Easter Egg Hunt.  It is becoming a family tradition.  They label eggs for each child and hide them at Dane's family's house.  They always do a great job and without fail, it takes quite awhile to find all of the treasures.  This year they even hid an egg for each adult, which was challenging.   Luckily we had Addy, who was super excited and a great hunter, find most of parent's eggs.  Amberly and Dane even had special prizes assigned to different eggs, so the kids enjoyed receiving fun trinkets along with the candy.

 

 We are in the "thick" of soccer right now.

Alyssa has improved tremendously since last fall and the High School Soccer team is on the horizon.
